Regina Joanne Bowen Woolston passed away peacefully in her home on August 13, 2026, at 5:34 p.m., following a courageous four-and-a-half-year battle with cancer. Though her journey was difficult, Regina faced each day with strength, courage, and the love of her family surrounding her.

Regina was a very strong, stubborn, and determined woman who simply did not quit. She faced life's challenges head-on and fought with everything she had. Her strength was something those around her admired, and her determination carried her through some of the hardest days of her life.

Regina loved hard, and she loved everyone. Her heart was big enough to make room for far more than just her immediate family. Throughout her life, there were many people who were not related to her by blood, but who lovingly called her “Momma”, "Mamaw" or “Sister.” She had a way of making people feel like family, and once you were loved by Regina, you were family in her eyes.

Regina was also a woman who knew how to work. She could outwork any man, and she wasn't afraid of hard work or getting her hands dirty. She was strong not only in spirit, but in everything she did. She gave her all to her family, her friends, and the people she cared about.

Regina was the beloved daughter of the late Troy Lee Bowen and the late Betty Jo Hall Bowen. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, niece, and great-grandmother whose family meant everything to her.

Regina is survived by her loving spouse and soulmate, Richard Lee Woolston, and their three daughters, Dawn Marie Woolston; Crystal Michelle Parker (Jay); and Heather LeeAnn Norwood (Cory).

She leaves behind seven grandchildren who brought great love and joy into her life: Kristofer Blayze Haro, Kirsten Michelle Haro, Kelton William Buice, Kayla Michelle Parker, Jay Franklin Parker Jr., Alexander Thomas Norwood, and Aubrey Leigh Norwood.

Regina is also survived by her great-grandson, Weston Cole Hall, and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of another great-grandson, Waylon Cash Hall. Her love and legacy will continue through these children and the generations to come.

She is survived by her siblings Sandra Dale Davis (Glenn), Donna Lee Reese (Wayne), Thomas Clayton Bowen, and Charles Wendell Bowen (Telisha). She was preceded in death by her siblings Ronnie Dean Bowen and Nancy Susan Chapman, as well as Nancy's spouse (Tommy) and Thomas's spouse (Deborah).

Regina was also loved by her extended family through marriage. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Delores Tewksbury, and sister-in-law Victoria Prevo. She is survived by her father-in-law, Gary Woolston; brother-in-law Timothy Woolston (JJ); and sisters-in-law Ronda Woolston and Jaime Woolston. Victoria's spouse (Ronnie) survives her.

Regina also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family members, all of whom were a meaningful part of her life and will cherish the memories they shared with her.

Although her physical presence is gone, Regina's love, strength, stubborn determination, and unforgettable spirit will remain with her family and friends forever. The people who called her Momma, Sister, Grandma, Wife, Aunt, Friend, and Family will carry a piece of her with them wherever they go.

Regina will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
